Vodafone Romania starts LTE trials, plans commercial launch in early 2013

The Romanian unit of British wireless carrier Vodafone said on Monday it will start testing the country’s first Long-term Evolution (LTE) network on October 31.
Vodafone customers, both business and consumers, will be able to enjoy very soon higher speeds and an enhanced user experience, with 4G services”, said Iñaki Berroeta, CEO Vodafone Romania.

Operator plans to offer 4G services at speeds up to 100 Mbps next year. Vodafone’s LTE network is operating in the 1800 MHz frequency band and has been implemented with Huawei equipment.
