Vodacom commences 3G rollout in DRC

Vodacom Congo director general Moza Godfrey  while speaking at a press conference in Kinshasa announced that the Congolese mobile operator has started its 3G network rollout, which is a USD25 million project. The first phase of the deployment, which is currently concentrated in capital city Kinshasa and Lubumbashi, will see around 350 3G base stations installed by 31 December 2012.
