Telekom Malaysia Issues LTE Supply Tender

Telekom Malaysia has issued a tender document to infrastructure vendors seeking an LTE network deployment.

The Business Times newspaper said that TM had invited a number of major LTE vendors, including Huawei, Ericsson, Samsung and Alcatel-Lucent, to submit their tenders.

Whether the omission of Nokia Siemens Networks from the named companies was an oversight by the source, or the company has been excluded from bidding is not clear.

Responses are required by the middle of September with deployments expected to start next February with nationwide coverage within four years.
