TELE Greenland to Launch LTE in Sisimiut

Incumbent state-owned cellco TELE Greenland has announced that it will offer 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) services for PC and tablet users in Sisimiut, the second-largest town in the country, on 28 March 2014. According to a company press release, the service, dubbed Mobile Broadband Premium, will offer down/uplink transmission speeds of 20Mbps/5Mbps and be priced at DKK999 (USD182.29) per month, including a 20GB of data allowance. Jonas Hasselriis, TELE Greenland’s product and marketing manager, said:

We have chosen to focus on the [provision] of mobile broadband because customers demand it.’
