TECNO targets youth market with N3 3G smartphone

A dual SIM mobile phone maker, Tecno, has introduced its latest range of dual SIM 3G Android smartphone known as N3 to the Nigerian market.

Tecno Vice-President, Mr. Arif Chowdury,said the segment of the market targeted with the phone was the

youth.

He said,

Qualcom partnership

partnered with Qualcomm, a world leader in 3G and next generation mobile technologies to provide N3 with a powerful chipset of Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7225A, which packs everything needed for a best-in-class experience for a smart phone, to give consumers the best 3G smartphone experience.

With Airtel also as one of the partners, the 3G Android Smartphone is bundled with an Airtel SIM and according to Tecno, Nigerian customers who purchase the device will enjoy six months complimentary data from the telecoms operator.

Chowdury explained that the Tecno N3 was designed specifically for the young African consumer, adding that. it offered a great mobile phone experience, with access key features that young people looked for such as social networking, access to thousands of apps and entertainment at a good price point.

He further said that the company had partnered with Airtel Nigeria, Qualcomm and Spinlet to drive the sale of the smartphone.

While Qualcomm will provide N3 with a powerful chipset: the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7225A, the smartphone would be bundled with an Airtel SIM and consumers who purchase the device will enjoy six months of complimentary data.

The Tecno N3 runs on the high performing Android 2.3 operating system, supports both 2G & 3G networks and is powered by 1GHz processor to allow consumers to enjoy a higher Internet speed and a faster running speed. And it’s dual SIM.
