Brazil’s Central Bank has suspended Facebook’s WhatsApp payments feature in the country, just over a week after the messaging service announced its launch, Bloomberg reports. In a statement, the central bank said that it had taken the decision to ensure competition in the payment system market.

During this outage, users took to Twitter to express their frustrations with the bugs and glitches. According to some comments posted on different sites, website dedicated to image-sharing, Instagram wass left unusable.

Many users posted comments like “Can’t see certain posts or post anything new! ANNOYING! Please fix this!”, “Not working. Loaded the image, was available for five minutes, people commented and then ‘can’t see.” On different websites. Additionally, the same issue occurred in the hit popular chat service WhatsApp.
Where all the users was commenting on this issue, the companies have not commented on the reason behind the issues.
