Govt to provide free Wi-Fi access on 1,000 Sydney buses

Australia’s New South Wales state government, in partnership with a private advertising company, will provide free Wi-Fi access on public buses in Sydney. Under the new trial, 50 Sydney buses will provide free Wi-Fi services for commuters. The program may expand to 1,000 buses by year-end, Telecompapaer reports. The service will be funded by advertising on buses by APN Outdoors, which already caters to Adelaide commuters.
