O! Expands LTE Network in Chuy

Kyrgyzstan mobile operator Nur Telecom, working under the O! brand,  expanded the coverage of its LTE network with several new base stations in the Chuy region. LTE services are now accessible in the villages of Novopokrovka, Voyenno-Antonovka, Novopavlovka, Nizhnyaya-Ala-Archa, Mayevka, Lebedinovka and Alamedin. The operator provides its LTE services over the 2,600 MHz band.

O! Expands Network Coverage in Naryn

Kyrgyzstan mobile operator Nur Telecom, working under the O! brand, has expanded the coverage of its network in the Naryn region, deploying 13 new base stations. The list of agglomerations includes Ak-Kya, Kyzyl-Zhyldyz, Kyzyl-Dobo, Cholpon, Zhylan-Aryk, as well as the city of Naryn.

O! Launches Number Anti-Definition Service

Kyrgyzstan mobile operator Nur Telecom, working under the O! brand, has introduced a new ‘AntiAON+’ telephone number anti-definition service. The option enables customers to choose whether to make their number visible or not, for each call. The service costs KGS 1.99 per day. The operator will give the first three days free after activation.

O! Launches Smart Mobile Internet Line

Kyrgyzstan mobile operator Nur Telecom, working under the O! brand, has introduced a new Smart mobile internet line package. The line includes the ‘Smart 300’ package with 300 MB, the ‘Smart 1000’ package with 1 GB, as well as the Smart Unlim package with unlimited mobile internet services. The line also provides unlimited on-net calls and SMSs. Outside the bundle, each MB costs KGS 0.25. The maximum monthly rate for the service totals KGS 990.

Nur Continues Expansion of 3G Network Coverage

Kyrgyz cellco Nur Telecom, which provides services under the ‘O!’ banner, has expanded its 3G network coverage in the districts of Toguz Torouskom, Aksy and Ala-Buka in the Jalal-Abad province, via the deployment of additional base stations. As the mobile service provider has improved 3G coverage in the provinces of Naryn, Talas and Chuy over the course of the last three months.

At 30 September 2014 O! was Kyrgyzstan’s third largest mobile service provider in terms of subscribers, with a 22.5% market share.

Kyrgyzstan to Be Fully Covered By Mobile Network In 2016

The whole area of Kyrgyzstan is due to be covered by a mobile telecommunications network in 2016, Chyngyz Bektashov, the director of the State Communication Agency (SCA) stated while talking to a news channel. Mobile services are still absent in 128 agglomerations across the country. The SCA has initiated a meeting with mobile operators Beeline Kyrgyzstan, Megacom and O! The agglomerations have been divided among the three operators, and 40 agglomerations are due to get reception by the end of the year. Investment in deploying a base station can reach USD 1 million in remote areas.
