Brazil electronics industry relies on 4G for growth in 2017

After a decline in sales of 8 percent to BRL 131.2 billion revenue in 2016, Brazil’s electronics industry expects a slight increase of 1 percent next year, reports Valor Economico. The growth should come from the telecommunications and industrial equipment segments, with each expanding by 3 percent. According to the director of telecommunications at the Brazilian Electrical and Electronic Industry Association (Abinee), Paulo Castelo Branco, the deployment of 4G on 700 MHz “should leverage business significantly”, with an increase in the number of users pushing up demand for smartphones, PCs.
