Pakistan and Alibaba Group Signed First MoU

Pakistan and Alibaba Group Signed First MoU: Pakistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Alibaba Group. Furthermore, It will promote Pakistan’s worldwide exports online. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Executive Chairman of Alibaba Group beheld the signing ceremony. The signing ceremony held at headquarter of e-commerce. Prime Minister appreciated the performance of Alibaba group.

Prime Minister said,

I am glad my meeting with Jack Ma. My appreciation of Ma’s dynamism and performance of [the Alibaba] group comes not only from its success as a e-commerce giant but more so from the focus of the group on job creation and livelihood generation.

He added that,

Indeed, the Alibaba group is a business with strong humanistic dimension. E-commerce is a powerful tool to stimulate economic activity, effort, innovation and entrepreneurship across all sectors of the economy.

He said,

When Jack Ma shared with me his interest in establishing an e-platform in Pakistan, I instructed my office to facilitate Alibaba’s initiative in every manner and in the shortest possible time frame.

Additionally, the agreement between Trade Development Authority and Alibaba group signed by commerce minister and Alibaba’s president.Under the agreement both the groups will go faster for worldwide exports of products. Small and Medium Enterprises(SMEs) conducted offline and online training programs. Moreover, Alibaba will provide reasonable industry analysis for SMEs to assist them for selection process. Additionally, both the group will also promote the development of financial services as well as support cloud computing services. Alibaba Executive Chairman Jack Ma said that they are not interested in achievements this year but they are more interested in partnership.
