Sr. Software QA Engineer

The candidate that will succeed in this position will be able to create all the manual testing and automation frameworks as required for the projects. Thus, the candidate may have to work on multiple projects once, also working to improve the company’s best practices from a testing a standpoint.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Automate and document tests from existing test cases/scenarios and new feature specifications
• Work with cross-functional teams (Architects, Developers, QA) in test automation activities across the organization
• Help investigate, evaluate, select, and integrate best available framework/tool solutions as required for test automation success
• Work to continuously improve test automation concepts and best practices, automation testing strategies, and test case design specifications
• Contribute to production of automation templates, examples, and training collateral
• Support and mentor junior level automation engineers to be successful at producing in-sprint automation.

Experience Required

• BS CS/CE or related field and/or equivalent at least 5 years industry experience
• Experience with version control software (e.g. git, svn)
• Knowledge using Python scripting language for developing- automated tests- Advantage
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages and techniques (e.g. Python, Java and JavaScript )
• Experience with Linux operating system variants
• Experience with networking concepts, protocols
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Agile development /tools(e.g. Kanban, Scrum /Jira, Trello)
• Working knowledge of virtualization (Docker, VMWare) a plus
