Smart extends LTE network to more cities in Metro Manila

Smart Communications has expanded the reach of its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to additional cities across Metro Manila, the cellco said in a statement. Smart is looking to extend its lead over its rivals in the deployment of ultra-high speed mobile broadband services, and as part of the latest expansion has connected the areas of SM Southmall in Las Pinas, Greenhills Shopping Centre in San Juan, UP Diliman, Ateneo De Manila, Miriam College, Sikatuna Village and the Eastwood Mall in Quezon City.

Commenting on the expansion, Smart’s head of broadband internet and data services, Lloyd Manaloto said: ‘Smart LTE lets you enjoy the fastest 4G connection all over the Metro Manila area … With ten cities now powered by our super-charged broadband service, we have more than doubled our coverage since the commercial launch less than two months ago’. The operator’s 4G network is also available in Makati City, Taguig, Mandaluyong, Pasig, Pasay, Muntinlupa and Manila.
