San Miguel to compete for 3G licence

Philippine San Miguel Corp is planning to bid for 3G spectrum, the Malaya Business Insight reports. The company owns four telecommunications companies: Eastern Telecommunications Philippines (ETPI), Bell Telecommunication (BellTel), Express Telecommunication, and Liberty Telecom Holding. The company will compete for any of the two 3G licences up for bidding.
