Samsung Confirms Plans for Smaller Screen Version of its S3 Smartphone
A Samsung executive has confirmed that a smartphone the company plans to smaller screen variant of its Galaxy S3 flagship handset.
Samsung mobile chief JK Shin confirmed to local Korean media that the company will be showing off a 4-inch screen model of the smartphone at a press event due to take place on Thursday. The company sent out media invites to the event last week.
Hinting at the device’s name, Shin said: “There’s a lot of demand for a 4-inch screen device in Europe. Some may call it an entry-level device, but we call it ‘mini’.”
He did not reveal any more details about the handset in advance of its launch.
The current Galaxy S3 smartphone has a 4.8″ screen.
