
Over Half of EMT Customers Now Selecting LTE Services
Estonian mobile network, EMT says that so far this month, over half of its new mobile data subscriptions have been sold to customers use LTE devices.
According to Ando Meentalo, Head of Data, Content, B2B Applications Area at EMT, says that people are increasingly discovering the possibilities offered by 4G.
EMT’s LTE network is delivering actual download speeds that are in the range of 20 to 60 Mbps. Maximum upload speed is up to 50 Mbps, average speed is up to 20 Mbps.
EMT launched the first 4G network in Estonia on December 16, 2010. Since then, EMT has covered almost 35 percent of the country. During 2012, EMT will continue with the rollout, and by the end of the year, 70 percent of Estonian population will have access to the ultra-fast mobile network. 4G will be available across the whole country by the end of 2014.
