
Orange Armenia Makes High Speed Internet More Affordable By Slashing Modem Fees
As part of its strategic development of mobile broadband internet services, Orange Armenia has cut the cost of its dual-carrier (DC) HSPA+ ‘Now 4’ modem for anyone signing up to a minimum twelve-month ‘Internet Now’ AMD11,000 (USD26.72) tariff plan to AMD1, from AMD9,000 previously. The cellco’s DC-HSPA+ network is currently available in Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor and Echmiadzin, delivering maximum transmission speeds of 42Mbps, and throughout the rest of the country at 21Mbps (i.e. HSPA+). Further, Orange Armenia says that the cost of the Internet Now 4 modem without a subscription plan has also been reduced to AMD50, 000 fromAMD59, 000 to drive take-up.
