NOAA deploys Fiberlink MaaS360
Fiberlink, the leader in cloud-based solutions for secure mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM), today announced
that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), a scientific agency within the Department of Commerce, has deployed MaaS360 to provide visibility and control over government-owned mobile devices. With a mission to understand and predict changes in climate, weather, oceans and coasts, NOAA is using MaaS360 to meet the unique demands of its growing mobile workforce while helping to lead the effort to expand mobility initiatives at other operational units within the Department of Commerce, including the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the United States Census Bureau.
MaaS360 provides NOAA with the key technology it needs to configure smartphones and tablets over the air, enforce security policies on mobile devices, separate government and personal data, and distribute mobile apps. The Department of Commerce joins the Department of the Interior, the General Services Administration (GSA) and other federal agencies that trust MaaS360 as their enterprise MDM solution, enabling them to quickly and cost-effectively meet Office of Management and Budget (OMB) goals for Continuous Monitoring, Green IT, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), Cloud First and Shared Services.
Cloud-based delivery model for agencies to meet initiatives and acquisition reforms required by the OMB’s Cloud First and Shared Services programs.
Mobility IntelligenceTM dashboards and reporting provides continuous monitoring, automated enforcement and remediation on any device out of compliance with agency policies.
Detailed CyberScope compliance reports on patches and the status of security and data protection applications ensure that technical safeguards for federal security guidelines are in effect at all times.
Personal Privacy Protection (BYOD Privacy Settings) enables agencies to more rapidly and securely adopt BYOD policies.
Single platform to securely manage mobile users across smartphones, tablets and laptops on government and employee-owned devices.
