NOAA deploys Fiberlink MaaS360

that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), a scientific agency within the Department of Commerce, has deployed MaaS360 to provide visibility and control over government-owned mobile devices. With a mission to understand and predict changes in climate, weather, oceans and coasts, NOAA is using MaaS360 to meet the unique demands of its growing mobile workforce while helping to lead the effort to expand mobility initiatives at other operational units within the Department of Commerce, including the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the United States Census Bureau.

MaaS360 provides NOAA with the key technology it needs to configure smartphones and tablets over the air, enforce security policies on mobile devices, separate government and personal data, and distribute mobile apps. The Department of Commerce joins the Department of the Interior, the General Services Administration (GSA) and other federal agencies that trust MaaS360 as their enterprise MDM solution, enabling them to quickly and cost-effectively meet Office of Management and Budget (OMB) goals for Continuous Monitoring, Green IT, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), Cloud First and Shared Services.
