USD6.5m Spent 0n Six Unused Towers
US watchdog the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction has criticized the State Department and the Department of Defence (DoD) for funding six telecom towers which have not been used and have led to one fatality. French operator Bouygues Telecom has improved download times over its LTE network in the July-August period, compared to the previous two months, based on tests using ZDNet’s 4Gmark application and YouTube video downloads. Cellcos Maintain Services through Flood Crisis
Pakistan’s mobile providers have been able to maintain services in areas of Punjab and Azad Kashmir affected by the recent flooding, with only a handful of incidences of network failure.
