Zong saw a 23.2 percent month-on-month revenue growth in October. The operator also reports a 26.5 percent increase in recharge as compared to October 2015. Mobile data revenue jumped 200 percent in October 2016 compared to October 2015. Mobile operator Telenor Pakistan and tracking company TPL Trakker have teamed up to enhance digital map service TPL Maps. Telenor Pakistan and TPL Trakker plan to extend the Maps service to a wider audience beyond smartphones. TPL Maps will become part of the internet.org program for Telenor users. TPL said it will make lite version of TPL Maps accessible to the entire population.

Customers buying a package with the device for KGS 2,900, will get internet services free for one year. The offer will be available until 31 December.
Ericsson and Qualcomm Technologies have executed network and device testing of data communications on Cat M1 with the MDM9206 modem, designed to support LTE Cat-M1 for IoT applications and services, using the 700 MHz band (Band 28). This commercial technical achievement was made possible through the interoperability testing of Qualcomm’s MDM9206 modem at Ericsson headquarters in Sweden and witnessed by executives from Telstra.Smartphone maker OnePlus is expected to release soon its next device, according to various reports. Qualcomm has already released a teaser on Twitter, showing its flagship Snapdragon 820 processor along with the OnePlus logo. Australian tablets fall by 17% for fifth straight quarter
The Australian tablet market experienced its fifth straight quarter of decline as the overall tablet market fell by 17.4 percent year-on-year in Q3, according to a report by IDC. Square ups FY guidance on improved Q3
Mobile card reader and payment processing company Square said third quarter results came in above guidance and that it has raised its expectations for the full year. Net revenue lifted 32 percent year-on-year to USD 439 million, with adjusted revenue up 51 percent to USD 178 million. Oi leads drop in Brazil mobile lines drop in September
Brazil ended September with 251.02 million mobile telephony lines in operation, down by 0.42 percent or by 1.05 million lines compared to the previous month, according to data published by the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel). IBM triples data centre capacity in UK

3GPP tech to account for 35% of LPWA connections by 2020
