Some 49% of the shares of Kazakhstan’s largest communications operator, Transtelecom, were sold as part of a privatization program in the country. MTS Tukrmenistan revenues grew 9.4 percent year-on-year to TMT 72 million in the first quarter of the year and Armentel, working under the Beeline Armenia brand, has modified the conditions for credit for its services.
Daimler (owner of Mercedes-Benz) and Qualcomm have announced a new partnership to work towards in-car wireless charging. The companies are also going to develop ideas for charging electric cars without cables. This will provide Qualcomm with an opportunity to increase its services other than just making smartphone chipsets.
