National ICT Summit Takes Place in Uzbekistan

The Eleventh National Summit of the Information-Communication Technologies (ICT Summit) started in Tashkent within the Week of information-communication technologies InfoCom 2013.

The ICT summit is platform for demonstration of achievements and opportunities from introduction of the ICT in various areas of life and activities, discussion of development trends in ICT sector and expansion of international cooperation.

Annually the summit attracts key participants of the sector from Uzbekistan and abroad, who are interested in establishing partnership relations and exchanging opinion on actual issues of ICT development.


This year, over 600 delegates are participating at the summit. Among participants are representatives of international organizations. Among participants are specialists from South Korea, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and others.

The participants will consider issues related to introduction of ICT in state sector, development of technologies and solutions, Internet and information resources, etc.

At the result of the talks, the participants will adopt a resolution of the summit.

The ICT Summit is organized by the Committee on Information and Communication Technologies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Information and Analytical Department of Information Systems and Telecommunications of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Committee for Communications, Information and Telecommunication Technologies, Association of IT Enterprises and Organizations of Uzbekistan and the company CIB GROUP. Sponsors of the event are Uzbektelecom, SAP and Microsoft.
