MTS Russia Signs Smart City Agreements
MTS Russia has signed cooperation agreements with governments of the Kamchatka, Sakhalin, Amur and Khabarovsk regions. The company has also signed agreements with the Republics of Buryatia and Sakha as well.The agreements were signed during the Far-East Economy Forum.
MTS Russia Signs Smart City & Big Data Agreements
These agreements mainly focus on Smart Cities projects and big data services that the company aims to provide in these regions. Through these agreements digital copies of these cities will be designed.
According to the company officials, MTS Russia plans to invest more than RUB 1.4 billion Khabarovsk region by the end of 2021. Its plans to invest more than RUB 1.4 billion in the Khabarovsk region by the end of 2021. Cloud, integration and Big Data services from MTS will be used to carry out digitalization projects in the region. IoT projects will be carried out on the operator’s NB-IoT network, launched in April.
About RUB 1 billion will be invested in the Republic of Buryatia by the end of 2021. The investment will also cover digitalization of waste management systems, as well as other projects.
