Movistar Peru Launched 3G in Nauta

Movistar Peru has launched 3G services in the city of Nauta, in Loreto province. The telco invested PEN 400,000 in the project, which will benefit 15,000 people living in this district. The deployment included a 3G mobile base station and a microwave network, which will enable the provision of mobile telephony and broadband services. Movistar Peru is fully owned by Spanish telecoms operator Telefonica.
