Moov Cote d’Ivoire, which launched its GSM-900/1800 services in July 2006, has reportedly inaugurated its 3G network in Abidjan, Grand Bassam, Assinie, Yamoussoukro, Bouake and San Pedro. According to Agence Ecofin the network is expected to be extended to Korhogo, Ferke, Daloa, Gagnoa, Divo and Abengourou in the coming weeks.

As previously reported by TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate, last week MTN Cote d’Ivoire announced the launch of its own 3G network, covering capital city Abidjan. Both Moov and MTN are playing ‘catch-up’ to chief rival Orange Cote d’Ivoire, which launched its 3G network in April 2012 in Abidjan, San Pedro, Bouake, Daloa and Yamoussoukro.
