Mobitel picks Huawei, ZTE for expansion, LTE rollout

Mobitel has selected Chinese equipment vendors ZTE and Huawei Technologies to expand its mobile network. Under the agreements, ZTE and Huawei will deploy over 1,400 2G/3G and LTE base stations, as well as transmission equipment. ZTE earlier announced that it’s contract with Mobitel is worth USD 40 million and covers 700 base stations.
