Mobilink Contracts to Alcatel-Lucent and Huawei to upgrade network.

Pakistan Mobilink in order to upgrade network they contract with Alcatel-Lucent and Huawei with investment of a US $ 1 MILLION plan.it is just because of competition,As competition gets fierce in Pakistan and 3G is around, Mobilink has awarded the network expansion and upgrade its network.

Mobilink’s parent company Orascom Telecom Holding announced the 5 year agreement with Huawei and Alcatel Lucent to provide for the design, purchase, deployment, and maintenance of next-generation mobile network equipment and supporting services.

Mobilink says that services from world’s leading network companies will help improve services and reduce operating costs.

More specifically, Huawei was awarded 50% of the radio network and 100% of the core and value added services networks, while Alcatel-Lucent was awarded the other 50% of the radio access network.

The year 2012 has been another landmark year, with the investment on the mobile network upgrade being a continuation of Mobilink’s focus on the enhancement of infrastructure and coverage footprint as well as on developing superior customer relationships.
