Microsoft to Spread Bug Bounty Program that Offers Reward of up to $15,000

Microsoft Office Bounty Program has updated by Microsoft which will now run until end of this year. Bounty hunters will have $15,000 worth of bounties to catch and echo susceptibilities. Phillip Misner, Principal Security Group Manager, Microsoft Security Response Center said:

The engagement we have had with the security community has been great, and we are looking to continue that collaboration on the Office Insider Builds on Windows. This program represents a great chance to identify vulnerabilities before broad distribution.

At the same place, Samsung also has the same bug bounty program but with $200,000 bounties for unreported vulnerabilities.

Microsoft has broadcasted that its bug bounty program dedicated to Microsoft Office Insider on Windows with $500 and $15,000 maximum financial reward for security flaws with zero-day. This bug bounty outgoing for Office vulnerabilities between $6,000 and $15,000 indicate a number of security flaws have been fix. After fixing the security flaws, now the company is concentrating on critical issues.

Company said:

Researchers aree required to submit “an original and previously unreported vulnerability in the current Office Insider build on a fully patched Windows 10 desktop. Submissions that can be reproduced on the previous build but not on the current areen’t considered eligible.

According to a blog post, by testing against these early builds, Issues can possibly be find before production release. This supports  to increase quality and defend customers.
