Megafon Tajikistan network grows to over 2,000 base stations

Mobile operator Megafon Tajikistan reported that base stations on its network have exceeded a total 2,000, of which 170 are in remote mountainous locations. The operator deployed over 500 GSM and 3G base stations in 2012, as well as tripling the number of outlets in its retail chain.

Last year, the operator has commissioned more than 500 new base stations 2G and 3G.Today, reliable communications for subscribers in Tajikistan provide more BS 2000, 170 of which are located in remote areas of the country. In particular, in 2012, the base stations of “MegaFon” was launched in Murghab and Ishkashim districts of Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO), which allowed subscribers to use mobile phones to pass Kulma Tajik-Chinese border.

At the end of 2012 its own retail network operator has nearly tripled. This allowed customers living even in the remotest corners of the country, take advantage of a reliable “MegaFon”. For corporate clients, the company opened a modern service centers in the three largest cities – Dushanbe, Khujand and Kurgan-Tube.

In 2012, the “MegaFon” has expanded the range of services to customers, providing a convenient and simple to connect and use the service. It was rated the company’s customers: the average over the past year “MegaFon” has become a monthly talk for 15 minutes more than in 2011.
