Megacom Expands Network across The Country

Megacom is continuing to upgrade its regional networks and has raised the capacity in fourteen villages in the Issyk-Kul region, in the town of Kara-Balta and in three villages in the Chuya region. The satellite connection line to the village of Kosh-Debe in the Naryn region has been replaced by an overhead line to improve the service quality. A new base station has been deployed at the Jannat Resort hotel in the capital city.

Megacom has optimized its network equipment in Naryn, At-Bashin and Aktalin municipalities in the Naryn region and has launched 3.75G services there. A UMTS base station has been deployed in the village of Belek in the Chuya region and the UMTS network has also been upgraded in the towns of Cholpon-Ata and Karakol, as well as in the village of Sary-Oy in the Issyk-Kul region, in the towns of Tokmok and Kara-Balta in the Chuya region, and in Bishkek.
