Marvell launches unified 3G platform for WCDMA, TD-SCDMA

Marvell is a US based silicon products developer which has introduced a single, unified 3G platform for WCDMA and TD-SCDMA markets. The platform features the new Marvell PXA988 and PXA986 chips combined with its latest wireless combination technology (Wi-Fi + Bluetooth + FM radio + NFC + GPS), RF transceivers, and integrated PMIC systems. With pin-to-pin compatibility, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can use the same printed circuit board and ID designs, and operating system, application and multimedia software to address both markets.
