
German networks have no immediate plans for pre-paid LTE
German mobile network operator have no plans to offer pre-paid LTE mobile tariffs in the near term until the new standard becomes relevant for the mass consumer market. Deutsche Telekom spokesperson Niels Hafenrichter said that LTE pre-paid products were currently not on its agenda; O2 Germany spokesperson Markus Goebel said that it had not made any decision regarding pre-paid LTE tariffs; and Vodafone Germany spokesperson Thorsten Hoepken said that it planned to offer pre-paid LTE tariffs, but no launch timeframe had yet been decided.
