Kyrgyzstan operators slow to roll out Wimax, LTE

12 Kyrgyzstan companies with licences for LTE or Wimax frequencies have started work on network deployment, reports Tazabek.kg citing a report from the foundation Civil Initiative on Internet Policy.

Global Asia Telecom, Sayma Telecom and Foris Telecom Kyrgyzstan are deploying LTE networks. Totel, which holds pre-Wimax frequencies, is also considering switching to a new technology for fixed wireless broadband.
