Kar-Tel In Conflict With Payment Terminal Operators

Mobile operator Kar-Tel, working under the Beeline Kazakhstan brand, has stopped accepting payments for its services over almost 20 percent of payment terminals across the country. The action resulted from attempts by the mobile operator to reduce the commission fee, and the initiative was met with hostility by some terminal chains. Stickers calling on customers to change mobile operator and drop services from Beeline Kazakhstan have started to be distributed by the chains. The commission fee for payments for mobile services totals up to 12 percent at some terminal chains in Kazakhstan.
