Huawei completes IOT testing for CDMA 1x-LTE CSFB technology

Huawei has completed IOT (Interoperability Test) capability testing of CDMA 1x-LTE CSFB (Circuit Switched Fallback) on commercial device. The test, using release 8 1x CSFB and release 9 1x eCSFB technology, demonstrates Huawei’s position in CDMA to LTE evolution. CSFB is an important component of CDMA to LTE evolution since it allows for data services to be able to run on LTE networks while voice service fall back to CS（Circuit Switched） packets. In the initial stages of LTE network deployment, operators usually deploy LTE to cover data hotspot areas, since VoLTE has not yet fully matured. With CSFB technology, subscribers are able to access LTE mobile broadband services while continuing to have CDMA 1x voice services.
