Google and LG Show Off New Nexus 5 Smartphone

Google and LG have jointly shown off the first smartphone to ship with the KitKat variant of the Android OS — the Nexus 5 smartphone. It is also the slimmest and fastest Google Nexus phone to date.

The new smartphone comes with a 5-inch Full HD IPS display and will ship in either 16GB or 32GB versions.

The Nexus 5 comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and supports LTE connectivity.

Nexus 5 will be available on Google Play starting today in the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, U.K., Australia, Korea and Japan. Offline availability in Europe, Central/South Americas, Asia, CIS and the Middle East will begin in mid-November.
