Georgia subs port 120,000 mobile numbers in two years

Georgia’s telecom regulator GNCC announced that 121,183 subscribers of mobile networks have made use of the number porting service from 15 February 2011 until January 2013.

According to the latest data, Mobitel (Beeline) is again the leader in mobile number portability as it attracted 29,969 subscribers from other companies networks and lost 23,894 subscribers. Geocell is second with 46,718 new subscribers from other companies networks and 44,011 subscribers who switched to other mobile companies. Silknet acquired 85 subscribers and lost 38 subscribers.

Magticom saw 44,411 subscribers join its network and 53,240 subscribers leave to other networks during the period.
