DoCoMo’s LTE Services to Switch on in Guam
Japan’s NTT DoCoMo announced that its Guam-based wholly owned subsidiary, DoCoMo Pacific, will launch a LTE service today, on October 4. This will be the first time for an overseas subsidiary of DoCoMo to introduce a 4G LTE service.
DoCoMo Pacific will initially provide its LTE service in high-traffic areas, such as Tumon, Tamuning, Dededo, Sinajana and part of Hagatna. The service gradually will be expanded to other areas on Guam going forward.
The service will have a theoretical maximum down-link of 37 Mbps and theoretical maximum up-link of 12 Mbps.
