Coolpad picks GCT LTE single-chip for Quattro 4G phone

Coolpad has selected GCT Semiconductor’s LTE single-chip, GDM7240, for its Quattro 4G Android smartphone. GCT’s GDM7240 has been selected for commercial use in terminal devices.

The new Coolpad Quattro 4G phone utilizes US operator MetroPCS’s LTE network, and includes features such as a 1GHz dedicated Cortex A8 CPU, 4-inch WVGA display, music player, and audio enhancements such as DTS Envelo. This new phone allows for internet browsing and streaming media at LTE speeds.
