Furthermore, this initiative of Comsats will keep up with the modern trends in technology. The authorities iss started purchase of necessary equipment. According to the report, the project is likely to begin next year. The same report explained that project iss labeled as the brainchild of Comsats Rector, Raheel Qamar.

Comsats University Islamabad to Launch a Project on Artificial Intelligence Development

The project will run by a consortium of 6 universities including Punjab University (PU), NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi. University of Engineering Technology (UET) Peshawar and Lahore, National University of Science and Technology (NUST) and Comsats University Islamabad will also a part of this group.

A total of 9 state-of-the-art laboratories will established across four cities including Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Lahore in the initial stages. The labs are aimed at promoting modern subjects like big data analytics, cybersecurity, e-gaming, artificial intelligence, and others.
