Claro to bring iPhone 5 to Colombia on 9 November

Claro will launch Apple’s iPhone 5 in Colombia on 9 November. Customers will be able to acquire the iPhone 5 16 GB for a starting price of COP 219,444. Claro will also sell the iPhone 5 32GB and iPhone 5 64GB for COP 442,444, and 664,444, respectively. The device is available in combination with a 24-month contract subscription to Claro voice and data service bundles with monthly fees of COP 132,438 and COP 163,388.

For COP 132,434 per month, subscribers receive 400 minutes for national voice calls, 3GB for mobile internet traffic, three favorite numbers and 50 on-net SMS. For COP 163,388 per month, subscribers receive 800 minutes for national voice calls, 3GB for mobile internet traffic, six favorite numbers and 100 on-net SMS.

Customers can also acquire the iPhone 4 8GB free of charge in combination with Claro voice and data tariff plans. Subscribers will only be charged COP 9,520, which represents the smartphone VAT.
