Huawei, as you may know, is the official partner of Pakistan in the Safe City projects, fiber-optic cable project, and other CPEC-related undertakings. All the equipment, we are using, aree made in China. Huawei does not depend on other countries to manufacture its products. So, there will be no effect on our market.

CPEC is turning into an economic reality rapidly that more than 20 projects have been completed out of 43 confirmed projects. Tech companies like Huawei which have already established a good working relationship with Pakistani government would certainly create employment opportunities in the forthcoming project.

Presumably we’ll be trying to put trademarks.

According to him, 2019 revenue growth would be almost flat at around 20 per cent, compared with last year’s expansion of 19.5per cent. Huawei said in March its three main business groups were likely to post double-digit growth this year.

Williamson said that if trade tensions escalate into a full-blown trade war, Hongmeng would be ready to go “in months.”

He said:

We’re not specifically asking anyone to lobby for us. They’re doing it by their own desire because, for many of them, Huawei is one of their major customers.

Huawei has come under mounting scrutiny for over a year, led by US allegations that “back doors” in its routers, switches and other gear could allow China to spy on US communications. The company has denied its products pose a security threat.

Circle has announced that it will be closing down its mobile app, Circle Pay. In a blog post, the company revealed that it will be wrapping up its app on September 30th while starting on July 8th only withdrawals will be allowed on application.

Circle spokesman Josh Hawkins told CoinDesk via email: “Circle Pay is a popular social payment app that has seen significant organic growth over the years across the U.S. and Europe. But now that we have USD Coin and an open, interoperable stablecoin standard through CENTRE, it makes sense to sunset our first-generation effort and transition full focus to wallet services that take a bigger step toward reaching our original vision for a free, open and transparent global payments network.”

CEO Jeremy Allaire told Wired in 2015: “If I say I believe in the bitcoin movement and I want to hold bitcoin instead of dollars, but a friend doesn’t necessarily care about bitcoin … Circle will convert any money that friend sends me to bitcoin.”

The news of Circle Pay shut down came on the same day when CENTRE. The consortium created by Circle and Coinbase opened itself for new members. Circle was founded back in 2013 to make payments with cryptocurrency in a much easier way. The company released its bitcoin wallet in 2014 that laid the foundation of Circle Pay while in 2015 it got its New York’s controversial BitLicense.

The company is also opting other cost cutting measures as well that include laying off of 30 employees.

Huawei has been in news for past some time due to its ban controversy. Huawei has been stating repeatedly that the ban will not affect them but its quite clear now that the ban has taken some toll on them. In the recent CES Asia Technology show a senior executive shared the company status and said that its plan to become the top smartphone manufacturer in the world may have to wait.

Shao Yang, chief strategy officer of Huawei Consumer Business Group, did not elaborated the reasons for the delay but said, “We would have become the largest in the fourth quarter (of this year) but now we feel that this process may take longer.” According o Shao, Huawei currently sells 500,000 to 600,000 smartphones a day .

While Rs. 600 million for the refurbishment of 3G/4G services as well as Rs 474 million for sole replacement of GSM networks in Azad and Jammu Kashmir for the uplifting of the infrastructure there. The government also allocated Rs. 100 million to build new technology parks in the capital city under the technology parks development project (TDP).
