Bharti Airtel plans to completely acquire 100% of Wireless Business Services (WBS), the Indian 4G unit of US chipmaker Qualcomm, by the end of next year, according to Airtel’s CFO Sarvjit Singh Dhillon. Airtel purchased 49% of the company in May 2012, before increasing its stake to 51% in July 2013. WBS holds Long Term Evolution (LTE)-suitable spectrum in Delhi, Haryana, Mumbai and Kerala.
