Beeline to cooperate with Ingushetia on LTE

Russian mobile operator Vimpelcom has signed a cooperation agreemet with the government of Ingushetia republic.

in the construction of LTE networks in the South and the North Caucasus region. The agreement was signed in Magas November 27, 2012 with the participation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Musa Chilieva and the Regional Director of the South and the North Caucasus region of OJSC “VimpelCom” Oleg Nudnova.

Under the agreement, the operator is committed to accomplish the construction of fourth-generation network in the Republic of Ingushetia. This will allow for high-speed data and Internet access to secondary and higher educational establishments and facilities of social security, as stipulated in the licensing requirements of the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Communications.

The Government of the Republic of Ingushetia, for its part, is committed to provide all possible assistance in this project. in 2012 as part of the expansion and upgrading of networks of “VimpelCom” connects 3G base stations on Ethernet technology in the South and the North Caucasus, which allows significantly increase the threshold for the maximum speed up to 21 MB / s (standard HSPA +).

To date, the percentage of coverage in the Republic of Ingushetia 3G networks is 75% of the population – 73%. Number of 3G base stations in the Republic to 71% of all stations of standard 2G.
