Beeline Additionally Invests US$21 Million into Uzbekistan in 1Q
Beeline has invested over US$21 million to expansion of its network in Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2014, according to the financial report of its parent company Vimpelcom Ltd.
The operator said that the number of Beeline subscribers reached 10.422 million peoples as of the end of March 2014.
Index EBITDA (Operating Income before Depreciation and Amortization) in Uzbekistan per annum grew up by 3%. At the same time margin of transactions decreased on 0.8 percentage points to 64.4%.
Beeline subscriber base in Uzbekistan by the results of the first quarter amounted to 10,422,000 people. Thus, the increase of the number of subscriber contracts in the year amounted to about 120 000 (+1%). Average bill for a mobile subscriber per month (ARPU) remained unchanged at $5. Indicator MOU (minutes of use) — 465 minutes in comparison with 425 one year ago.
