Batelco Extends 4G to Pre-Paid Users

Bahrain’s Batelco has made the advanced 4G services available to pre-paid customers. The company which is fighting competition from Zain Bahrain’s LTE network launched in April – said that this is the first time that pre-paid users have been offered 4G access in Bahrain. The ‘SimSim’ LTE mobile internet service is accessible to pre-paid customers visiting any Batelco shop to apply for a new 4G USIM card. Batelco’s consumer division general manager Muna Al Hashimi said: ‘Batelco is entering a new era with the delivery of the 4G LTE service for pre-paid customers who will now have the ability to use their pre-paid numbers to access the internet via our 4G mobile network using their 4G enabled smartphones.’
