Altel Gets Funding From Sberbank for LTE Project

Kazakhstan operator Altel will receive funding for its LTE network from Kazakhstan bank Sberbank. The funds will allow the operator to deploy the network and to acquire end-user equipment. Altel plans to launch its LTE network in Karaganda, Aktau, Atyrau, Aktobe by end-2013, and all regional centers across the country will be connected to LTE services by end-2014. Altel is a subsidiary of national operator Kazakhtelecom.
