Tashkent, Uzbekistan - 21st October 2008- A two day training session on EVDO covering EVDO Release 0 Overview and Network Planning was successfully conducted by the Central Asian Cellular Forum from 20th to 21st October, 2008 at the Perfectum Mobile Office, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The event was actively supported by QUALCOMM Incorporated and the CDMA Development Group (CDG).
The training session was well attended by engineering professionals from Perfectummobile. Perfectummobile is the leading 3G CDMA mobile operator in Uzbekistan which started it's operations in 2001. The main objective of the training program was to improve the technical skill level of the operator's engineering professionals, who are planning a major upgrade to broadband service via EVDO Rev-A.
The event kicked off with a welcome address from Mr. Karimov Samad Kadirovich, Technical Director, Perfectummobile. He applauded the efforts of Central Asian Cellular Forum for organizing the workshop which he believed would prove to be very beneficial for their organization. Mr. Kadirovich was accompanied by Mr. Nabishev Alisher, Commercial Director, Perfectum Mobile.
The training session was conducted by Dr. Ismail Shah, who Head's CACF CDMA HR Development Centre and is a senior professor renowned for conducting wireless technologies training across the globe especially in 3G technologies. A total of 22 professionals from Perfectummobile attended the workshop.

CDMA 2000 1xEV-DO Network Planning
The training session was part of the series of training sessions being planned by Central Asian Cellular Forum in the CIS for development of Human Resource in the region.
At the conclusion of the event Mr. Khalid Khan, Chairman Central Asian Cellular Forum thanked the participants and vowed to pursue these training sessions and support the industry in future as well, not only with Perfectummobile but for all upcoming 3G operators who want to stay ahead in the competition with the latest cutting edge wireless technologies.
