Islamabad, Pakistan - 15th February 2009- A three day training session on CDMA2000 and EVDO was conducted by the Central Asian Cellular Forum from 13th to 15th February 2009. The workshop was held at Avari Hotel, Lahore, Pakistan. Dr. Syed Ismail Shah, Executive Director, Central Asian Cellular Forum and Qualcomm certified trainer conducted the training which covered CDMA2000 for Engineers and CDMA EVDO Rel 0 & Rev A.

The training was organized keeping in view the soft launch of EVDO and the expected expansion of CDMA2000 & EVDO networks in the near future. A total of 29 professional engineers attended the training. The class was a mix of professionals from PTCL, Worldcall, Cybernet, ZTE, Telecard and Interactive Communications. The efforts of Central Asian Cellular Forum towards developing the required 3G HR were well applauded by the participating organizations. Later certificates were issued to the students.
